Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, the Account Executive facilitates activities that include account identification and development as well as servicing and growing all applicable customer segments. The Account Executive is responsible for developing and implementing growth and development strategies to sell UDSF’s entire suite of product and services, which includes, but is not limited to, post-acute care, home care services, community-based services, and mobility and rehab products.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with all department/program leadership to develop strategies for the sale of UDSF’s product and services.
  • Call on and interact with Social Workers, Case Managers, Discharge Planners, Hospitals, Skilled Nursing and Rehabs, Admissions Coordinators, Senior Communities, Assisted Living and Memory Care, Home Health & Hospice Agencies, and other Healthcare Professionals.
  • Maintain market awareness and develop opportunities in the ever-evolving state of home care.
  • Build a comprehensive strategy that consists of field sales and marketing, direct mail, email campaigns, newsletters, community outreach, attending senior focused events, etc.
  • Perform all phases of consultative sales process, including cold calls, follow-up calls, maintaining and nurturing existing referral accounts, including follow-up, as necessary.
  • Present marketing materials and services to referral providers, including 1:1 meetings, as well as planning, arranging and conducting formal presentations to referral providers.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business development is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 5 years sales experience in healthcare, home care, social service or related field is required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • An energetic self-motivated professional with the ability to build strong relationships quickly
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Quick, efficient, and detailed follow up with regular customer contact and interaction
  • Strong territory management skills, blueprinting, developing successful business plans and strategies, executing sales and marketing plans
  • A proven leader with the commitment and perseverance to achieve above average success
  • Must possess a positive, high-energy, and “team player” attitude
  • Computer proficiency is mandatory: use of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and ability to understand and learn use of data management programs and applications
